
How to Get Admission in Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU)
Admission Schedule
AIOU offers admissions twice a year:
- Spring Semester: From 15th January to 20th February
- Autumn Semester: From 15th July to 4th September
How to Apply for Admission
You can apply for admission in two ways:
- Online Admission Form
Fill out the online form yourself by visiting the official AIOU admission portal:

Get a prospectus from AIOU’s designated sales points, fill in the form manually, and submit it.
You can also visit computer shops or AIOU Swift Centers for assistance in filling out the form.
Steps for Online Admission
- Create an Online Admission Account
- Click on “Create Account” on the portal.
- Use your mobile number or email address.
- Important: Your mobile number should be active and not converted to another network. For a smoother process, we recommend using your email address for verification.
- Login to Your Account
After creating your account, log in and click on “Apply for New Program.” - Choose Your Admission Type
You’ll see two options:- Face-to-Face Programs
- Open Distance Learning (ODL) Programs
- Select Your Desired Program
- Choose the program you want to apply for.
- Make sure to check the eligibility criteria before selecting.
- Enter Educational Details
Fill in details of your last degree (e.g., FA for BA admission). - Provide Personal Information
Complete the form with accurate personal and academic information. - Upload Required Documents
Upload clear images or PDF files of all required documents. ⚠️ Make sure the information you provide is accurate, as it will be used on your degree. - Final Review & Submission
- Once your progress circle shows 99%, check all boxes at the bottom.
- Click Submit to finalize your application.
After Submission
- Download your Challan Form from the same page.
- Pay the challan via:
- Any designated bank
- Or through mobile banking
